NYS Lifts Cluster Restrictions – Promises Plan for NYC Indoor Dining – Perhaps Relaxing 10 pm Curfew

During his press briefing today, Governor Cuomo announced that all Orange Zones will be lifted and all Yellow Zones except four will be lifted. Yellow zones remain in place in the Bronx, Washington Heights, Queens, and Newburgh. We expect detailed maps of the remaining Yellow Zones to be released later today.

This means restaurants and bars located outside of New York City currently operating at reduced levels in Orange Zones will be only limited by the statewide rules in place for all restaurants, including the 50% indoor capacity limit, 10 people per table, and 10:00 p.m. curfew.

The Governor also indicated that a plan to reopen New York City indoor dining will be released by the end of the week and that the State is considering a 25% capacity limit in the City.

Lifting the 10 pm curfew is also being discussed by the State, although the Governor indicated the emphasis on dining activity.

We’ll update this post once more information is available.
