ABC Training Rolls Into Western New York

Our statewide series of ABC Law and ATAP trainings with the State Liquor Authority will hold its next session on Tuesday, June 28th at the RIT Inn & Conference Center located at 5257 West Henrietta Road in Rochester. The ABC’s of the ABC Law training focuses on the responsibilities of licensees in maintaining a premise that is in compliance with the Alcoholic Beverage Control law. This session will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) training addresses the responsibilities of servers to prevent sales to minors and sales to visibly intoxicated patrons. Participation in ATAP training can be used as part of a defense to an SLA violation, to reduce a penalty issued by the SLA and may reduce your insurance rates. Servers can also use their ATAP certification as a defense a criminal charge of an illegal sale. The ATAP session is being held 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm.
