Heartland Payment Addresses Date Breach

You may be aware Heartland Payment Systems, our preferred provider for credit/debit/prepaid card processing services, was the victim of a security breach within its processing system in 2008. If you are a Heartland customer, it is important for you to know your business’ merchant data was not compromised as a result of this intrusion.

Heartland has apologized for any inconvenience this situation has caused cardholders. They have advised all cardholders to examine their monthly statements closely and report any suspicious activity to their card issuers. Cardholders are not responsible for unauthorized fraudulent charges made by third parties.
