SLA Newsletter Provides Information & Insight

The State Liquor Authority has resumed publishing a newsletter after an long hiatus providing a valuable communication tool for the agency. The new quarterly publication gives the Authority an avenue to distribute information to the licensed community and the public at-large about its operations and issues of interest. The inaugural edition includes articles on community notice of renewal applications, the legality of bring-your-own-bottle policies, the uncovering of an illegal permit scan, guidance from the Liquor Authority’s Counsel on gambling in a licensed establishment, and the rules for security personnel working in a licensed premises. Another feature of each newsletter is a guest editorial – and I was given the honor of writing the first guest editorial.
